MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) - According to the latest data, Belarusian farmers have harvested 154,400 tonnes of vegetables, with the yields (exclusive of peas) at 360.8 centners per hectare. A total of 5,270 hectares of areas were cleared, which is 99.8% of the plan, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
Sugar beet harvest is 97.8% complete, with 101,600 hectares cleared. Farmers harvested over 5 million tonnes of sugar beet, with yields averaging 488 centners per hectare.
The harvesting of grass fodder continues. Over 9.5 million tonnes of forage units (96.9% of the target) have been harvested so far.
