Uzbekistan shows interest in Belarusian wooden houses

MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – Uzbekistan is interested in purchasing prefabricated sets of Belarusian wooden houses, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Uzbekistan.

On 25 November, Belarus' Ambassador to Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich visited the tourist infrastructure of Tashkent Region at the invitation of Uzbekistan Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov. The ambassador was shown the facilities commissioned for active recreation in summer and winter, and also sites for the construction of sport and tourist facilities.

The Belarusian diplomat and the deputy head of the Uzbek government met with representatives of the construction business and managers of the tourist infrastructure facilities. “Uzbekistan expressed its interest in purchasing prefabricated sets of Belarusian wooden houses for the recreational areas of Uzbekistan and also Belarusian building materials,” the embassy said.

The Belarusian diplomatic mission reported that, given the expansion of air travel between Belarus and Uzbekistan, the parties also discussed the possibility of intensifying tourism exchanges, including the opportunity for Belarusian tourists to visit ski resorts in Uzbekistan, and for Uzbekistan people - Belarusian spa resorts.
