MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – Ukraine is interested in regular deliveries of Belarusian cement. The possibilities were discussed as representatives of the holding company Belarusian Cement Company met with representatives of Ukrainian companies at the civil engineering expo EuroBuildExpo in Kyiv, Ukraine, BelTA learned from the BCC website.
According to Belarusian Cement Company, EuroBuildExpo is a traditional venue for meetings of representatives of construction companies, city planners, architects, investors, international organizations and funds. The venue offers excellent opportunities to position oneself on the Ukrainian market and get familiar with modern technologies in addition to finding new partners. Belarusian Cement Company's products – cement, silicate blocks, bricks, lime, and reinforced-concrete products – were presented in Kyiv by OOO BCC Ukraine Director Semyon Antipov and Head of the company's Marketing and Commercial Strategy Office Vladimir Manulenko.
According to Vladimir Manulenko, BCC representatives met with current wholesale buyers and potential partners – real estate developers from Kyiv and southerner parts of Ukraine. Interest in buying BCC products was high. Ukraine is about to introduce antidumping duties on Turkish cement, which means the already high prices for cement will get even higher. Deliveries of Lithuanian cement are expected to stop as well. Even taking into account antidumping duties against Belarusian cement, which have been in effect since 2019, Belarusian cement is becoming even more attractive for Ukrainian consumers. Belarusian Cement Company is in negotiations on regular cement deliveries to Ukraine.
According to Belarusian Cement Company, one of the goals of participation in EuroBuildExpo was to present new packaging of Belarusian cement. The new packaging uses BCC's proprietary colors and holograms. The source said that certain companies had exploited the temporary absence of BCC cement in Ukraine by selling its own cement in sacks with the old design. Now Ukrainian consumers will see what the packaging of genuine Belarusian cement looks like.
