Turkish businesses invited to attend Belarusian Investment Forum in Dubai

MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Turkey Viktor Rybak met with Minister of Trade of Turkey Mehmet Mus on 9 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the state and prospects of Belarus-Turkey cooperation in trade, economy and investments in line with the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries in Ankara in April 2019. Top on the agenda of the meeting were preparations for and the agenda of the 11th meeting of the Belarus-Turkey Intergovernmental Economic Commission.

The parties exchanged information on the results of the efforts of the customs services of Belarus and Turkey to launch the Green Corridor pilot project as part of the intergovernmental agreement to boost bilateral trade. They also reviewed the status of other projects of mutual interest.

The Belarusian ambassador conveyed an invitation for the Turkish business community to participate in the Belarusian Investment Forum that will be held within the framework of the National Day of the Republic of Belarus at EXPO 2020 in Dubai on 22 November. He also shared commercial and investment proposals of Belarusian companies and organizations.

The parties agreed to keep working on the matters discussed.
