Turchin meets with Azerbaijani PM to discuss cooperation prospects 

 

MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin has met with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

The meeting focused on various aspects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of interstate relations, noting the dynamic growth of their mutually beneficial partnership, which they credited to the joint efforts of the two presidents.

Separately, a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held in Minsk on 30 September. The agenda featured 19 items concerning financial support for the manufacturing industry and agriculture, the development of an integrated information system, transport infrastructure, and other topics.

As the presiding country of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2025, Belarus pursues a number of priorities. These center on developing technological potential and cooperation, improving food security, and completing the formation of a unified transport space, leveling the economic playing field, creating a transparent and competitive environment, and protecting the domestic market. Other priorities include intensifying efforts in digital transformation, developing international cooperation, and advancing information exchange to a new level.
