Turchin: EAEU can become one of powerhouses of a new multipolar world

MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – The Eurasian Economic Union will become one of the powerhouses of a new multipolar world if its potential is fully realized, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Minsk on 30 September, BelTA has learned.

“We have often said that this year will mark an important milestone for the EAEU. We are not only completing the implementation of the Eurasian economic development strategy through 2025 but also laying the groundwork for a new era of integration based on the Eurasian Economic Path Declaration on further development of economic processes within the EAEU. Now, we have the opportunity, as the president of Belarus aptly termed it, to launch EAEU 2.0. To succeed, we must apply our full effort to complete the 2025 strategy and swiftly agree on the EAEU development roadmap at a new integration stage,” said Aleksandr Turchin.

Belarus has once again demonstrated the significant potential of the EAEU’s industrial sector, the prime minister emphasized. “All necessary conditions have been created to transition from simple forms of cooperation to the joint creation and production of high-tech, in-demand goods. The ‘Made in the EAEU’ label must become a reality,” he remarked.
“I am convinced that through joint efforts, we will be able to fully realize the potential of the Eurasian Economic Union, both internally and externally. In this way, we will be able to create one of the influential and rapidly developing centers of the new multipolar world,” the Belarusian head of government concluded.
