GOMEL, 3 June (BelTA) – Transition to startup operations at the H-Oil complex under construction was discussed at Mozyr Oil Refinery, representatives of the enterprise told BelTA.
State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich visited OAO Mozyr Oil Refinery. Together with Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich and Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Gennady Solovei he was made familiar with progress in construction of the heavy oil hydrocracking complex. A conference with heads of the contractor organizations took place at the construction site. The agenda included the actualization of the tasks to increase the workforce at the installation under construction and transition to startup operations. The routine operation of the oil refinery was also discussed.
The construction of the heavy oil hydrocracking complex is Mozyr Oil Refinery's largest investment project on record. Its cost is estimated to exceed $1.45 billion. The heavy oil hydrocracking complex comprises an integrated hydrocracking unit, a hydrogen plant, a sulfur plant, and 21 off-plant facilities.
Mozyr Oil Refinery was commissioned in 1975. It was converted into a public joint-stock company (OAO) in 1994. The company specializes in refining oil and making and selling oil products. The products are exported to over 20 countries.
