MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Trade between Belarus and Russia’s Novosibirsk Oblast increased by 11% in 2024. These figures were announced on the air of the First News Channel, BelTA reports.
A working visit of the Belarusian government delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich to Novosibirsk started on 26 March. The delegation also included heads of enterprises and concerns. The delegation will visit at least five enterprises and attend the opening of a multi-brand center.
Over the past year, trade between Belarus and Novosibirsk Oblast went up by 11%. “Belarusian light industry products are in great demand here. Belarusian fairs that are held in Novosibirsk annually are very popular among local residents. Belarusian goods are known for their quality. We have certain developments in the field of mechanical engineering. We have been doing this since the times of the Soviet Union. This includes power engineering and machine tool building. It will be interesting to explore new cooperation opportunities. Our and Belarusian enterprises are not standing still. We see that the sanctions that were meant to hamstring us, in fact, only contribute to economic growth, encourage us to look for new markets and build cooperation within the Union State,” emphasized Andrei Goncharov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship Promotion of Novosibirsk Oblast of Russia.
The most important negotiations and visits to enterprises will take place on 26-27 March.
