Thin-film transistors, e-ink in focus of international conference in Minsk on 16-20 September

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – The international conference EuroDisplay 2019 will take place at premises of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) on 16-20 September. The forum will focus on display technologies, including thin-film transistors (TFT) and e-ink, the university's press service told BelTA.

EuroDisplay 2019 is expected to gather leading scientists, developers, manufacturers and consumers of data display solutions – from technologies to end products. Over 150 participants from all over the world, including the USA, Germany, UK, France, China, South Korea, India, Poland, Russia, and Netherlands, are expected to convene in Minsk. Participants of the conference will discuss such topical matters as liquid crystals, display materials, thin-film transistors, e-ink, and other things.

The forum's program includes a plenary session and panel sessions, a poster session, and a youth education seminar featuring foreign speakers.

Seven leading researchers from the USA, Germany, China, the UK, and Russia will lecture about the latest trends and innovations in the area of development of display technologies for university students and postgraduate students. They will share practical knowledge and skills required to implement large-scale projects for the development of data display solutions.

“Display technologies are a huge market. We are talking about any kinds of TV sets, tablets, gadgets, smartphones. All the scientific achievements are pooled together in order to create devices modern people can hardly live without,” noted Aleksandr Smirnov, co-chairman of the organizing committee of the conference, a BSUIR professor.

The conference has been organized by the Society for Information Displays (SID, USA) and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR).
