Tanzanian government ready to support Belarusian business entering Tanzanian market

MINSK, 23 June (BelTA) - The government of Tanzania is prepared to support Belarusian businesses seeking access to its market, Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa told a press briefing following his meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin in Minsk on 22 July, BelTA learned.

The Tanzanian prime minister emphasized that trade and investment are promising avenues of bilateral cooperation. He encouraged Belarusian businesses to explore closer collaboration with Tanzanian partners, particularly in agriculture. "The primary focus should be on trade and economic cooperation. The agreement we signed on this matter today provides a solid foundation to advance our bilateral relations," the prime minister said.

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa assured that Tanzania's government will provide full support to Belarusian businesses seeking to develop bilateral cooperation and expand their market presence in Tanzania.



The meeting between Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin and Tanzanian Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa resulted in the signing of four significant agreements. These include Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Ministries; Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in agriculture between the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Agriculture of Tanzania; Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in education between the Education Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Tanzania; and Memorandum of Cooperation between the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Tanzania.
