MIINSK, 15 September (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Yevgeny Sobolevsky was part of the opening ceremony of the 37th Edition of the Sahara International Agricultural Exhibition, BelTA learned citing the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Cairo.
Held annually since 1987, Sahara is the largest regional exhibition. Spanning 17,000 square meters of Cairo International Conference Center it gathers over 200 exhibitors.
During his visit to the exhibition, the Belarusian ambassador held negotiations with MTZ dealers in Egypt: ElMoasasah ElDawlia and Belmach for Import and Trade and also with representatives of Tanta Motors, a prospective partner of Minsk Tractor Works.
To promote Belarusian tractors in the Egyptian and Sudanese markets, negotiations continued at the embassy premises with the participation of an MTZ representative and Honorary Consul of Belarus in Sudan Mohammed Ismail.
The parties discussed the current challenges, potential solutions, and prospects for increasing the supply of Belarusian tractors and spare parts to Egypt and Sudan.
