MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) - Belarus is willing to provide comprehensive support for existing and new projects of the China Merchants Group company, a shareholder of the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park, Belarus’ First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said during a meeting with Director and President of China Merchants Group Shi Dai, BelTA learned from the government's press service.
At the meeting, Nikolai Snopkov noted that this is the first visit of Shi Dai to Belarus. "I hope the visit leaves a good impression on you," he said.
Nikolai Snopkov emphasized that China Merchants Group is the largest resident company and shareholder of the Great Stone industrial park. "Last year, the company successfully launched a hotel service complex. We are ready to offer complete support for the company's existing and new projects in Belarus," he stated.
Nikolai Snopkov expressed gratitude to the company for its active role as a shareholder in Belarus and for its assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. "All provinces and many companies of China helped us then. China Merchants Group provided its warehouse facilities for the free storage of humanitarian cargo before its shipment to Belarus. The company's employees worked round the clock processing documents, receiving cargo, and ensuring proper storage. We will never forget this assistance provided by China Merchants Group," he concluded.
China Merchants Taipingwan Development and Investment Co., Ltd. is the development company of the Taipingwan Cooperation and Innovation Zone. A subsidiary of China Merchants Group is engaged in investment management, landscaping, maintenance of basic infrastructure, and related services for enterprises.
