MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Small private manufacturers should more actively team up with large enterprises as part of manufacturing cooperation schemes. Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar made the statement during a trip to Liozno District, Vitebsk Oblast, the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry told BelTA.
The economy minister met with citizens at premises of the Liozno District Executive Committee to hear out their grievances, visited OOO StilBrus and met with the company’s employees.
While talking to the workers, Yuri Chebotar said: “Light-emitting diodes are a product that enjoys high demand on the home market. Belarusian LEDs will surely be popular with large industrial enterprises. Such a manufacturing cooperation scheme will provide a small private manufacturer with a stable portfolio of orders and access to financial support on profitable terms. The updated legislation offers the relevant mechanisms. In the future such cooperation will allow expanding the product range, increasing the competitive ability of manufactured products, and feeling more confident on the Russian market as well. For you and the region as a whole it means new jobs and prospects.”
After that the economy minister went to PTUP Kommunarka-Liozno. The enterprise participates in the “One district – one project” initiative and is busy building a shop to make candies out of milk powder.
“The new candy is a tasty and wholesome product based on local raw materials. It will allow reducing the prime cost, localizing value added chains, and offering attractive prices. Your quality products will surely find customers in Belarus and abroad,” Yuri Chebotar stressed.
