MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) - Manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment from Russia’s Vologda Oblast intend to enter the Belarusian exchange market, the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) told BelTA.
Two major industrial enterprises from Vologda Oblast plan to sell their products through BUCE: a manufacturer of tank trucks for transporting liquid food products and a factory producing light and ventilation equipment for livestock complexes. During negotiations between the Vologda business delegation and BUCE held at the exchange’s central office on 2 June, the parties reached an agreement to accredit these companies on the Belarusian exchange platform.
The Russian side sees BUCE primarily as a sales infrastructure element, providing direct access to purchases by Belarusian agricultural enterprises.
"We want to supply our products to the Belarusian market without intermediaries, using the exchange as a direct access point to procurement procedures conducted by agricultural enterprises. We already have experience working in Belarus, but by participating in exchange trade, we aim to expand our potential buyer base," Director of the Vologodskiye Mashiny enterprise Vasily Kuznetsov said.
Head of the PSK Svetstroy enterprise Andrei Golovin expressed interest in the exchange platform, highlighting its ability to facilitate transactions with minimal risk, as BUCE ensures compliance by both sellers and buyers.
"Our company actively cooperates with consumers from several CIS countries. However, Belarus is a completely new market for us. Through exchange trading, we aim to minimize marketing costs and mitigate potential risks," Andrei Golovin stated.
Natalya Skorokhodova, Deputy Head of the Regional Export Support Center of BUCE, expressed readiness to assist in attracting Vologda’s business community to BUCE's trading platform. Plans include in-person and online seminars and delegation visits for Vologda entrepreneurs with a tour of BUCE.
Currently, Vologda Oblast is represented on BUCE by 28 companies. The exchange trade is mainly represented by supplies of ferrous metal products for the industrial sector of Belarus.
