Russia's Leningrad Oblast satisfied with Belarus' gas infrastructure equipment proposals

MINSK, 24 June (BelTA)| - Russia's Leningrad Oblast is fully satisfied with Belarus' equipment supply proposals for the gas infrastructure development program in the region, Governor of Leningrad Oblast Alexander Drozdenko told reporters following the talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.

"During the gas forum, we will sign an agreement between Leningrad Oblast, Belarusian companies, and Gazprom for the Leningrad Oblast gas infrastructure development program. It suggests not only laying of medium-pressure pipelines, inter-settlement gas pipelines, but also building modern boiler houses running on gas. We have already studied the experience, price parameters. We are completely satisfied with Belarus’ proposals. It is clear that there are tenders, certain procedures. But everything is very competitive and very high-quality," the head of the region said.

As BelTA reported earlier, the Belarusian president touched on this topic during the meeting. Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that Belarus is ready to join this large project: "We can supply the appropriate equipment and build boiler houses and also lay main gas pipelines, connect them to households."
