Russia’s Bryansk Oblast interested in Belarus’ construction services

MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) – Russia’s Bryansk Oblast invites Belarusian workers to take part in the construction of housing and social facilities in the region, Bryansk Oblast Governor Alexander Bogomaz said as he met with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Bogomaz noted that many facilities are currently under construction in Bryansk Oblast. Belarusian specialists are also involved in construction projects in the region. For example, companies from Mogilev Oblast and Gomel Oblast are building housing stock.

“Mogilev Oblast is working on two sites, Gomel Oblast on three. We are ready to offer even more. We would also like construction workers to build social facilities: we are building three schools for 1,225 children, two schools for 500 children each and many sports facilities. In other words, we will be glad if they chip in. Indeed, the volume of construction works is huge, we do not have enough [construction workers] to handle all these construction projects,” the governor said.

In 2023, Belarusian builders commissioned a 16-story apartment block in Bryansk. “They did it quickly, efficiently – our people appreciated it,” Alexander Bogomaz emphasized.
