MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) - Representatives of the Moscow Center of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) conducted a technical support mission at the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP), BelTA learned from the BelNPP information and public relations department.
The mission focused on the effective functioning of the system of analysis and use of operating experience, the communication process, distribution of responsibilities and authorities of the participants of the system of analysis of operating experience and other issues related to the NPP operating experience.
According to WANO MC adviser Ivan Goncharov, operating experience is one of the most important topics in WANO's work. “After all, we were originally conceived as an organization that would exchange operating experience between nuclear plants. This lets us assess the path we are on and implement measures to adjust this path for the better,” he said.
According to Ivan Goncharov, highly-qualified, hard-working, and responsive personnel work at the Belarusian NPP. This contributed to a successful mission.
