Russia, Belarus look to increase mutual trade by 50% by 2030

MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) - Russia and Belarus plan to increase mutual trade by 50% by 2030, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said, RIA Novosti informs.

“By 2023, mutual trade had already increased by 7.1% to reach RUB3.5 trillion. By 2030, we plan to increase the current figures by at least half, taking into account the current import substitution policy and increasing cooperation between our enterprises,” Alexey Overchuk said speaking at a meeting of the High Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.

In his words, the countries are the most important trade partners for each other, and their trade is balanced, with mutual exports and imports being approximately equal.
