MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) — Rosatom pays great attention to cooperation with Belarus, Director General of Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev said during his talks with Belarusian Energy Minister Aleksei Kushnarenko on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week on 26 September, BelTA learned from the Rosatom’s country office.
The parties discussed ongoing and future projects of bilateral cooperation in the nuclear sector. In particular, they touched upon the maintenance of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, nuclear fuel supplies, and joint nuclear fuel cycle projects.
The Belarusian Energy Ministry and Rosatom also coordinated their positions on the implementation of new non-nuclear initiatives aimed at ensuring the technological sovereignty of the Union State.
