MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – A robot production facility may be set up in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

During his trip to China’s Chongqing Province, Minsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Turchin visited the Chongqing Qiteng Robot company that produces inspection robots, machines for working in extreme conditions (high temperatures, toxic and flammable sites, underground mines).

Founded in 2010 by students of Chongqing University of Technology, the company has become a leader in the field of emergency safety in China.

“We are very interested in your developments. Our experts need to communicate with you more closely. We are ready to move forward. Robots can have various features and specifications thus they can be used in completely different areas. And it is important for us to have an opportunity to get these robots adjusted for the needs of our Emergencies Ministry on the spot and within a short time,” noted Aleksandr Turchin.

Chongqing Qiteng Robot is ready to invest in opening operations in Belarus in the Great Stone industrial park where it could assemble its machines and create an electronic data storage server for specific projects. The company is also interested in launching joint operations with a Belarusian partner.

A reminder, Minsk Oblast Governor Aleksandr Turchin took part in the economic cooperation forum for sister cities in Chongqing.

The forum was attended by officials from 30 regions and cities with which Chongqing has sister-city relations. The motto of this year's forum highlighted closer regional cooperation and common development. Participants explored cooperation opportunities in investments, economy, technology, as well as inter-regional contacts, and green policy.

During his visit to Chongqing, Aleksandr Turchin studied advanced medical equipment made by the Zybio company. The enterprise specializes in the research and development of reagents and equipment for in vitro diagnostics, immunoassay and molecular diagnostics, hematology and microbiology. During the visit to the company, the governor explained how Belarus’ healthcare system works. He noted that diagnostics are vitally important for small medical institutions, such as district hospitals, because the earlier the disease is detected, the easier it will be to treat. Minsk Oblast plans to send doctors to Chongqing to study how Zybiо equipment works in a hospital setting.

Aleksandr Turchin also visited the 6th edition of the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade, where Minsk Oblast was the guest of honor with its exposition located in the central part of the exhibition venue.
