Retail trade up 2.4% in Belarus in January-September

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – In January-September 2020 the retail trade totaled Br38.9 billion, up 2.4% year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

Wholesale trade made up Br70.6 billion, or 92.6% as against January-September 2019.

One-day retail trade volume per capita came at Br15.1 while in January-September 2019 it amounted to Br14.2.

Retail trade outlets accounted for 91.7% of retail trade. In January-September 2020 they reported Br35.6 billion in retail trade volume, up 3.9% year-on-year in comparable prices.

In January-September 2020 the trade turnover of the public catering industry totaled Br1.8 billion, or 80.6% as against the same period of 2019 in comparable prices.
