Retail trade down 4.5% in Belarus in Q1 2021

MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – In Q1 2021, the retail trade totaled Br13.1 billion, or 95.5% as against the same period of 2020 in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.

Wholesale trade amounted to Br28.3 billion, or 104% as against January-March 2020.

Retail trade outlets accounted for 91.6% of retail trade. In Q1 2021, they reported Br12 billion in retail trade volume, or 96.2% as against the same period of last year in comparable prices.

In Q1 2021, the trade turnover of the public catering industry totaled Br698.4 million, or 91.9% as against the same period of 2020 in comparable prices.
