MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – A renewed transportation and logistics hub will be opened in Bobruisk, Mogilev Oblast on 30 April, the press service of the Belarusian logistics enterprise Beltamozhservice told BelTA.
The transportation and logistics hub Bobruisk-Beltamozhservice has been repaired, the utility networks have been modernized, the exterior and the interior of the building have been redecorated.
The placement of the terminal in Bobruisk has been prompted by a number of geographic and economic factors. Bobruisk is a big city that is not an oblast capital. The railway Gomel-Minsk-Vilnius and a branch of the pan-European transport corridor IX Kaliningrad-Vilnius-Minsk-Kiev-Odessa go through Bobruisk. A number of large enterprises are located in the city. The transportation and logistics hub in Bobruisk is one of the eight hubs run by Beltamozhservice. The hub is located on the international motorway M5 and in direct vicinity of a major railway, which is also part of large infrastructure projects.
The transportation and logistics hub Bobruisk-Beltamozhservice provides jobs to many Bobruisk residents and represents an important infrastructure node for top local economic mainstays. The hub offers such services as customs operations, storage of finished products and raw materials.
Taking part in the solemn opening ceremony will be representatives of the State Customs Committee, the Bobruisk City Executive Committee, and the logistics enterprise Beltamozhservice. Apart from that, a commemorative alley of trees will be planted.
