MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Yuri Gorlov held a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Georgia Nikolai Rogashchuk, during which the parties compared notes on agricultural cooperation between the two countries, the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
The meeting emphasized the momentum in trade and economic relations between Belarus and Georgia. In 2024, trade in food products and agricultural raw materials grew by 9.2% compared to 2023, with Belarusian export surging by 28.6%. The main exports included meat and dairy products, eggs, confectionery items, and other food products that are in demand in the Georgian market.
According to the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, Belarusian processing enterprises are actively working to promote their products in Georgia by strengthening existing contracts and expanding their partner network. The potential for bilateral cooperation is particularly high in seed production and animal husbandry, where Belarus is ready to offer modern technologies, high-quality products, and extensive experience.
