Prime minister identifies Belarus government priorities

MYADEL DISTRICT, 22 April (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko outlined priorities of the government while talking to reporters during a business trip to Myadel District, Minsk Oblast on 22 April, BelTA has learned.

Roman Golovchenko said: “Growing prices represent the most acute world problem. Our task is the timely payment of salaries and the growth of salaries. Prices are on the rise. Respectively we have to ensure growth of real revenues of the population. Another priority in our work is to ensure the steady work of all enterprises. We've been managing to do it for now. Certainly, it is difficult to keep up the pace and stick to the targets we set late last year in these conditions of wild pressure. We are still committed to the key indicators, which have been established, but figures are less important than steady operation of the entire economic complex.”

Roman Golovchenko mentioned particular importance of financial performance of enterprises in the current conditions. “Apart from that, it is important to mend the ties broken due to COVID-19 and the sanctions,” the prime minister added.
