MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) - Digital solutions, tools, and expertise of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) in facilitating the supply of Belarusian goods to the Indian market were presented at the international forum “Path to India: Opportunities for Belarusian Exporters” held in Mogilev on 24 July, BUCE’s press service told BelTA.

The event was organized by the Mogilev Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide export-oriented enterprises with a step-by-step guide to doing business with Indian companies, covering topics such as business communication, buyer search, settlements, and logistics.

According to Deputy Head of Foreign Economic Relations at BUCE German Puzyrny, the use of exchange mechanisms can “shorten the path” of Belarusian products to the Indian market, reducing both time and financial costs.

“In this case, the marketing function of the exchange is activated, addressing several key challenges faced by Belarusian exporters: access to potential buyers, creation of a competitive environment, transparent pricing, and enforcement of contractual obligations. This is precisely how the export of sawn timber to India is currently organized via the exchange platform. Since the first transaction was concluded in 2024, a pool of Indian importers regularly participating in trading sessions has formed. This ensures a consistent supply of Belarusian timber products and maintains a necessary level of competition,” German Puzyrny stressed.

As of 24 July 2025, nine Indian residents have been accredited on BUCE. In January-June 2025, Indian participants concluded deals totaling $2.4 million, which was 1.5 times more than in the whole 2024. The Indian market primarily received wood-processing products, while raw materials for the textile industry were imported into Belarus.
