MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – There are no ineffective government programs in Belarus, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers on 12 June, BelTA has learned.
The Economy Ministry assessed the effectiveness of government programs that were implemented over the past three years. The outcomes of the evaluation were discussed at the meeting of the Presidium.
According to the final report of the Economy Ministry's interdepartmental commission, 62% of government programs were classified as highly effective and effective, said Roman Golovchenko. “The effectiveness of the remaining ones was assessed as average. There were no low-effective or ineffective programs,” he said.
The government is running 29 programs in the current five-year period; these programs will also be evaluated. In the past three years alone, almost Br400 billion has been allocated for these programs.
