ST. PETERSBURG, 25 October (BelTA) – Belarus is offering St. Petersburg new models of passenger and utility vehicles, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said during a meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of Belarus and St. Petersburg on 25 October, BelTA has learned.
"We have a positive experience of cooperation with St. Petersburg in terms of supplies of Belarusian passenger transport and utility vehicles manufactured by such well-known enterprises as Minsk Automobile Plant, Minsk Tractor Plant, Belkommunmash, and Amkodor. Although the enterprises are significantly loaded with orders from different Russian regions and other foreign countries, we have always prioritized contracts with St. Petersburg. Our goal is to fully meet the needs of your city in modern passenger transport by supplying new models of Belarusian buses, trolleybuses, electric buses, trams. We are ready to offer very favorable financial terms for contracts," Roman Golovchenko said.
Belarus is offering the new samples to the housing and utilities services of St. Petersburg. "I know how much attention the governor pays to the creation of a comfortable urban environment that meets the latest global standards. On the order of St. Petersburg, Belarusian manufacturer Amkodor has produced a sample of an all-purpose utility vehicle designed to clean urban areas in any weather specifically for the needs of St. Petersburg. Cutting-edge fire and rescue vehicles made by the Belarusian producer Pozhsnab have also proved their worth for St. Petersburg," the prime minister noted.

The parties also paid attention to cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, science, education, and culture. "We are glad that now, in addition to the meeting of the Business Cooperation Council, St. Petersburg is hosting the Days of Minsk that will feature a number of cultural and business events, including a business forum, a fair of Belarusian goods. The program of cultural events is also extensive," Roman Golovchenko added.
