MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to offer Bashkortostan favorable financial instruments to buy a wide range of products, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Head of Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov on 7 February, BelTA has learned.
Roman Golovchenko noted that following the instructions of the heads of state, the governments of Belarus and Russia have done a lot of work to implement the decree on the mutual recognition of technological operations. “The government of the Russian Federation adopted a resolution to extend the national public procurement regime to Belarusian goods. Accordingly, there are no legislative barriers impeding the purchase of Belarusian goods, including with the use of budgetary funds or as part of programs supported by the government,” he said.
“Therefore, Belarusian equipment - from road construction machinery to elevators, microelectronics, railcars, etc. - can be purchased within the framework of such programs. We have significantly expanded financial support instruments for Russian buyers, and they showed great interest in them. Financing models can be customized for any transaction. This includes lending to specialized enterprises, such as regional development corporations that implement key projects or act as a centralized customer. This also includes providing resources to regional banks and leasing companies to finance the purchase of a wide range of popular Belarusian products. This includes the supply of Belarusian goods in installments through the Belarusian specialized leasing organization Promagroleasing, with the end buyer being offered an installment plan at a minimum margin,” the prime minister informed.
Russia's Sberbank and its subsidiary in Belarus are part of this financial infrastructure, which allows residents of the Russian Federation to take loans on preferential terms to buy Belarusian equipment.
“I am sure that you will carefully study these proposals and choose the option that best suits Bashkortostan,” Roman Golovchenko concluded.
