MINSK, 27 July (BelTA) - Asian manufacturers are welcome on the Belarusian market, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at a government meeting to discuss Belarus' exports to the far-away countries on 27 July, BelTA has learned.
“The main theme of today's meeting is exports. We, however, cannot forget about investment projects. Foreign direct investment in Belarus continues to grow. In Q1 2022 net FDI increased by 45%,” said Roman Golovchenko.
In his words, the country is interested in attracting Asian manufacturers to the Belarusian market. “With Western companies cutting down their production in Russia, we are to witness tough competition for Asian investments. Their attraction is a highly sought-after area for the heads of the foreign institutions in the corresponding countries, too,” the prime minister stressed.
