MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) - We are planning to build a liquefied gas plant on the grounds of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone by 2025, Director General of Gazprom Helium Service Lyubov Brish told the media after a joint meeting of the commissions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, BelTA has learned.
Belarus has a need and is interested in producing liquefied natural gas. "An agreement was reached with the Belarusian government to build a plant by analogy with the facility in Volgograd Oblast of Russia," Lyubov Brish said.
A joint meeting of the commissions on energy, on transport, and on industry and trade of the Union State Parliamentary Assembly was held in the Great Stone industrial park.
Before visiting the park, the meeting participants laid flowers at the Mound of Glory memorial.

The agreement was signed with the Great Stone park last year. "We were allocated a land plot for the first stage," Lyubov Brish said. "The facility is exepcted to come on stream in 2025. The capacity of the plant will be about 4,000 tonnes per year or 0.4 tonnes per hour. This is enough to supply motor transport enterprises and cover the needs of BelAZ and MAZ at the current stage.” This is a good capacity, because, for example, a facility producing 0.4 tonnes per hour in Russia's Primorye Territory is capable of refueling 53 KAMAZ trucks which run along a route of 3,000km.
Investments in the construction of the first stage of the LNG plant is estimated at RUB1 billion to establish the market. "We offer modular solutions, which can be increased and replicated every year. Beltopgaz gave us technical specifications for gas, we know how to build in stages," she said.
