MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko is set to take part in the meetings of the CIS Economic Council and the Eurasian Economic Commission Council meetings and also a plenary session of the Second Eurasian Congress on 2 December. The events will be held in-person in Moscow, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.
The participants of the CIS Economic Council meeting are expected to consider documents aimed at the further development of the CIS. They will include standards of quality of life, a plan of priority measures for the implementation of the Information Security Strategy until 2030, the Concept of Cooperation on Further Development of Viticulture and Winemaking and the plan of main activities for its implementation, the complex of joint actions to ensure biological safety of genetic material in the reproduction of farm animals for the period through 2026.
“The participants of the meeting are also set to take decisions on the implementation of the plan of priority measures to implement the concept of cooperation in the chemical industry, the implementation of a set of measures for the development of power engineering and the set of measures to develop and promote the use of natural gas as motor fuel for vehicles up to 2020 and other issues,” the press service said.
The agenda of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council includes 18 issues on industrial cooperation, competition, marking of goods, and technical regulation. Members of the EEC Council will consider a roadmap to expand cooperation in the civilian aircraft industry in the EAEU states for 2021-2025. Informational, organizational and financial measures are proposed to strengthen cooperation between enterprises in order to saturate the Union State market with modern aviation equipment.
Plans are also in place to adopt the EAEU technical regulations “On safety of metro rolling stock” and “On safety of high voltage equipment”, and also amendments to previously adopted decisions of the EAEU Council on the introduction of marking of some goods. The commission will report on proposals for priority areas to improve food security of the EAEU states.
The plenary session ‘Key Investment Projects - System Drivers of Economic Growth in the EAEU” of the Second Eurasian Congress will host a dialogue on the priority areas of deepening Eurasian integration and the prospects for implementing large-scale integration infrastructure projects for sustainable progressive development of national economies.
