MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) - New Director General of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant (BelNPP) Sergei Bobovich named the main tasks at his new position as he spoke to the media on 4 January, BelTA has learned.

“I believe this to be a very honorable appointment for me. The main task today is to ensure that our plant, the youngest in the world, remains the most advanced,” he said.

Sergei Bobovich is convinced, however, that technology does not decide everything. “People matter most. The main task is for the personnel to remain at a high professional level, follow the latest developments in the world,” the director general added. Here, he mentioned the assistance from Russia, Rosatom Corporation. “We are doing great because there are no language barriers. We are communicating very closely. We are learning from them. They visit us very often, train personnel, provide consultations. I think we have a very successful project and we are going to move forward,” he said.
