Parkhomchik: Belarus, Russia are preparing joint projects in industry

MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are preparing joint projects in industry, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik said as he met with Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Aleksei Uchenov of the Russian Federation, BelTA reports.

"I would like to thank the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation for constructive cooperation in terms of the Union State programs. All issues are being resolved in a pragmatic way," Piotr Parkhomchik said.

He cited as an example the relationship of KAMAZ with a number of enterprises of the Belarusian industrial sector. "It is very important that the program that we signed with KAMAZ is aimed at long-term cooperation (more than five years). We are now working on the unification of production of freight and passenger transport vehicles. We are very pleased that Horizont has pitched in this work as it began to produce panels for KAMAZ," the deputy prime minister said.

The Russian side is also developing cooperation with the holding companies BelOMO, BMC.

"I would like to note the constructive work on the investment projects that we sent for discussion. To date, eight projects have been agreed upon and will get the financing of the Development Bank. There is great interest in these projects from both Belarus and Russia," Piotr Parkhomchik emphasized.
