MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) - Pakistani business is interested in direct supplies of Belarusian woodworking products, BelTA learned from the National Center for Marketing and Price Study of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Belarusian timber enjoys high demand in Pakistan: total timber imports exceed $100 million annually. “Belarusian woodworking products are well-known in Pakistan and are highly praised for their quality (in 2021 their exports exceeded $2 million). However, a significant share of the Belarusian products get to the Pakistani market through third-country intermediaries. In this regard, the business community of Pakistan has expressed interest and willingness to establish direct business contacts to build more effective cooperation for the supply of Belarusian timber,” the center said.
On 31 May, the National Center for Marketing and Price Study in cooperation with the Belarusian Embassy and the All Pakistan Timber Traders Association will organize online B2B negotiations with Pakistani timber importers. The event will be the first stage to deepen bilateral cooperation in the sector.
