Over 120 Belarusian R&D products on display at China International Import Expo

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Over 120 Belarusian R&D products are represented during the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, the press service of Belarus' State Science and Technology Committee told BelTA.

The country's pavilion “High-tech equipment and information technologies” presented 126 R&D products of Belarusian scientists from 32 organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and institutions of the Education Ministry.

Those include ultra-small orbital space vehicles developed by Belarusian State University. The nanosatellite BSUSat-1 was inserted into orbit in 2018. A full cycle of assembly, tuning, testing, launch, and operation of the space vehicle has been implemented. With assistance of the international community radio fans get information packages of telemetry data that contain results of space physics experiments. As part of the government program “Science-intensive technologies and equipment” the second nanosatellite BSUSat-2 has been created. An innovative module-based approach to putting together onboard systems of the satellite has been chosen. Belarusian State University also showcased a number of cancer drugs.

The instrument-making plant Optron of the Academy of Sciences presented the electric scooter Green Line 51. Electric motor power – 2,500W, maximum speed - 60 kmph, load capacity - 200kg, driving distance - up to 60km, charging time - 7 hours, weight - 90kg.

Visitors can also examine the unmanned aerial vehicle Burevestnik made by the R&D Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Complexes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The drone can do video monitoring of areas and locations. The flying distance is 300km, the flight time is 10-12 hours.

The collective section featuring Belarus' R&D products has been organized by the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus. The exhibition operator is the Belarusian Institute for System Analysis and Information Support of the Scientific and Technical Sphere.

The China International Import Expo is China's largest exhibition event. In 2021 the expo gathered about 2,900 companies from 127 countries and attracted over 480,000 visitors. The expo is organized by the Chinese Commerce Ministry and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Heads of state and members of government of dozens of countries traditionally take part in the expo's opening ceremony.
