Over 1.1m tonnes of grain and rapeseed threshed in Belarus

MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) – Over one million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.

As of 12 July, early cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, and millet) were harvested from 253,300 hectares, which is 12.2% of the target area; 856,200 tonnes of grain was threshed, with the average yield at 33.8 centners per hectare. Winter barley was harvested from nearly 83% of the area. Brest Oblast and Grodno Oblast are completing barley harvesting.

Winter rapeseed was harvested from 34.2% of the area; 304,700 tonnes were threshed.

Flax was pulled from 9,300 hectares, which is 20.7% of the area under this crop.
