MOGILEV, 20 August (BelTA) – Interaction of the state and the private sector gives new points for economic growth, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Ruslan Strakhar.
The deputy head of the Mogilev Oblast administration said: “All the conditions for the development of large private enterprises and small organizations, self-employed businessmen have been enabled in Belarus. We have a smoothly operating system for interaction between government agencies and the private sector. There are a number of various platforms for discussing the problems and matters private companies are concerned about. For instance, an entrepreneurship promotion council operates under the aegis of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee. An association of industrialists and entrepreneurs operates in the region. The platform is used at least once per quarter to discuss matters concerning small and large businesses. All the necessary conditions for the development of large, medium, and small businesses have been enabled. All the participants of the process starting with the government and ending with a private enterprise worker should be interested in this development. Wise use of the available resources and preferences, unwavering observance of laws and regulations, opportunities for an open dialogue and honest work at the local level can secure further successful interaction.”
According to Ruslan Strakhar, representatives of the private sector violate the legislation sometimes. Backdoor salaries are sometimes paid with a promise that the worker gets more money if the employer pays less taxes. “It is necessary to remember that if an executive pays backdoor salaries, he or she deprives their workers of state protection and the payments they will be due later on. Apart from that, backdoor salaries violate the existing legislation. Fight against such representatives of the private sector will continue. Because such actions threaten not only the country's economic stability but interests and rights of citizens. However, I should note that the number of positive examples in Belarus is much larger,” Ruslan Strakhar noted.
