GRODNO, 25 April (BelTA) - Belarus and Poland should be good neighbors, live in friendship, and develop economic relations, Anatoly Velikin, Director General of Bel-Plast International Plant, First Deputy Chairman of the Association of Polish Business in Belarus, told the media before the dialogue platform on Realities and prospects of Belarusian-Polish Cooperation as a basis for interregional cooperation at present times, BelTA has learned.

“I would like to thank the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee for organizing such an important, necessary and useful event. It is great to see here the leading companies of Grodno Oblast, and also partners from Poland. It is encouraging and gives confidence in the future. We all want to live as good neighbors, live in friendship, work and develop our economic relations,” Anatoly Velikin said.
Anatoly Velikin said that the enterprise he manages is a joint Belarusian-Polish company which has been functioning for 26 years already. “Over these years we have achieved great results. We are many-time winners of the CIS Quality Excellence Award, six-time winners of the Belarus’ Government Award. We are proud of our numerous achievements and awards. We are a company with foreign capital. You are welcome to come to us, to our native Belarus, and work with us. The only condition is to work honestly. If you work honestly, all roads are open for the economic development of enterprises,” Anatoly Velikin said.

When asked whether the company was affected due to the deterioration of relations between the countries, Anatoly Velikin noted that it faced certain problems. “Nevertheless, we continue working, find new sales markets. We keep developing. We do not stand in place. Whoever wants to work, works, whoever wants to achieve something, looks for an opportunity. Those who do not want to work, look for reasons not to do anything and talk about the difficulties that have arisen,” he added.

In order to boost Belarusian-Polish cooperation, establish new and renew existing contacts between business representatives of the two countries, the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee teamed up with the Association of Polish Business in Belarus to organize a dialogue platform on the realities and prospects of Belarusian-Polish cooperation as a basis for interregional cooperation at present times.
