Online seminar held in Jiaxing to promote China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone

MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – An online seminar was held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, China for the sake of promoting the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, representatives of the Consulate General of Belarus in Shanghai told BelTA.

The sides discussed ways to use capabilities of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone for the sake of further expanding bilateral R&D cooperation and for commercializing joint R&D products in the area of innovative manufacturing, new materials, and artificial intelligence.

Participants of the seminar included the head of the administration of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone Aleksandr Yaroshenko, Deputy Secretary General of the Jiaxing City People's Government Ni Huping, Director General of SZAO Industrial Park Development Company Yan Gang, top officials of a number of institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Deputy Director of the Yangtze Delta Region Research Institute of the Tsinghua University Feng Yezheng, Director of the Overseas Projects Department of China Merchants Group Li Zhonghang, Director General of the China-Belarus Aerospace Research and Development Center Li Ping, and representatives of scientific and business circles of the city of Jiaxing.

Consul General of Belarus in Shanghai Andrei Andreyev delivered a report on Belarus' investment, scientific, technical, trade, economic, and tourism potential. Promising avenues for expanding cooperation in trade, economy, education, and culture were discussed with a Chinese delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Jiaxing City Committee of the Communist Party of China Wang Tao.

The online seminar was organized by the Commerce Department of the Jiaxing city in association with the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone and the Yangtze Delta Region Research Institute of the Tsinghua University.
