Oil pumping via Druzhba pipeline only slightly limited in Belarus, November plans unaffected

MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) – Gomeltransneft Druzhba is busy carrying out scheduled maintenance operations to replace a gate valve at the oil pumping station Gomel. This is why the volume of oil being pumped via one line of the transcontinental oil pipeline Druzhba has been insignificantly reduced, Gomeltransneft Druzhba representatives told BelTA.

According to the source, Gomeltransneft Druzhba specialists started replacing gate valve No.25A of the outlet collector in the pump room of the oil pumping station Gomel on 16 November. Measures were taken to partially reduce oil pumping by 7% in the section Gomel-Mozyr-Adamowo-Zastawa in order to rule out ecological and industrial risks and ensure safe work of the specialists.
