MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – The number of struggling companies decreased in Belarus in 2024, the press service of the Economy Ministry told BelTA.
The Department for Financial Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy analyzed how bankruptcy procedures were implemented across regions and industries in line with the Law “On Insolvency Resolution”. As of 1 January 2025, 1,163 debtors were undergoing insolvency and bankruptcy procedures.
The least number of business entities undergoing insolvency and bankruptcy procedures were in Mogilev Oblast and Grodno Oblast.
The share of business entities that applied for insolvency and bankruptcy decreased over 2023 and now stands at 10.1% in Gomel Oblast, 8.3% in Vitebsk Oblast, 4.3% in Grodno Oblast, 1.8% in Brest Oblast.
