MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian Energy Ministry has commented on rumors, which claim that payments for Russian natural gas are delayed, BelTA has learned.
The Energy Ministry press service said: “Information in individual Telegram channels claiming that Belarusian payments for Russian gas are delayed is untrue. Transactions for the natural gas the country gets have been made in Russian rubles according to the established procedure since 1 April 2022.”
As of 20 June Belarusian gas distribution organizations had paid in full to OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus for the natural gas delivered in January-May 2022 in accordance the contract timeframes.
