New version of Belarus' law on customs regulation to be discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – The new version of the law “On customs regulation in the Republic of Belarus” that was submitted to the House of Representatives will be discussed at the 11th international research conference “Innovative processes in the customs sphere: interaction with the business community in modern conditions” due in Minsk on 17 September, the State Customs Committee of Belarus told BelTA.

“Taking part in the conference will be representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Belarus' Council of Ministers, the Taxes and Duties Ministry, the Transport and Communications Ministry, and the National Union of Participants of Customs Relations. The agenda of the conference includes ways to improve the customs legislation, the development of information technology in the customs sphere, novel approaches to managing customs payments, and the use of navigation seals,” the committee noted.

The participants will focus on state control over merchandise trade, the development of cross-border e-commerce, easing customs and trade procedures in China and Belarus as well as other aspects of the foreign economic activity.

The conference is organized by the State Customs Committee and the State Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Customs Authorities.
