New founder chosen for Belarusian sanatorium in Lithuanian Druskininkai

MINSK, 15 July (BelTA) – The government has transferred functions of the founder of the public institution Belorus Sanatorium in the Lithuanian city of Druskininkai to the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population. The decision is stipulated by the Council of Ministers' resolution No.398 of 13 July 2021. The resolution was published by the national legal information registry on 15 July, BelTA has learned.

In line with the resolution the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population will be able to make decisions on reorganization and shutdown of the Belorus Sanatorium. The center's director will be able to appoint the sanatorium's head and approve the appointment of the deputies. The center's director will also be able to approve the sanatorium's charter.

The Council of Ministers resolution also stipulates that the health improvement center is a legal person with an independent balance, a current bank account and other bank accounts, including accounts in foreign currencies, its own seal and stationery forms with the image of the Belarusian national emblem, with its own name, and other seals, stamps, and forms needed for operation. The health improvement center honors its commitments in line with the legislation.

The Council of Ministers resolution comes into force as of the publication date.
