MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – An international wholesale expo Furniture 2015 will be held in a new format in Minsk on 17-20 September, BelTA learnt from spokeswoman for the Bellesbumprom Concern Ruzhena Novitskaya.
“This year the expo will be enriched with a varied business program. We can say that a usual furniture exhibition will turn into a business furniture forum,” Ruzhena Novitskaya said.
The business program will include numerous meetings to showcase the latest achievements in the wood processing sector of Belarus and other countries as well as the investment potential of the industry. Representatives of the national furniture industry will discuss cooperation with leading foreign trade companies regarding the sales of Belarusian woodworking products abroad. The forum will comprise seminars on the Furniture Industry of the Republic of Belarus. State and Prospects, Automation of Furniture Designing, a seminar-presentation on new furniture mountings BOYARD, and many more.
It is expected that partaking in the expo will be over 200 furniture companies this year. The best models of Belarus-made furniture will be displayed by more than 20 companies under the Bellesbumprom Concern. Among them will be Pinskdrev Holding Company, Gomeldrev, Molodechnomebel, Slonimmebel, Rechitsadrev, Gomel Furniture Factory Progress, Bobruiskmebel and others. Partaking in the expo will be companies from Russia, Poland, Austria, Germany, Turkey and other countries. “They will bring their products and discuss cooperation issues with Belarusian furniture producers. It is expected that Belarusian furniture companies will sign a number of agreements on the supplies of furniture materials and fiberboards to Russia,” Ruzhena Novitskaya added.
The expo will display a wide assortment of furniture, including home, bank, and office furniture, furniture for country houses, recreation and tourism, bars, cafes, restaurants, casinos, trading houses, furniture mountings and component parts, textile, glassware, lighting and many more.
The expo Furniture was first held in Belarus in 1993. This is the country's biggest specialized exposition. Its major goal is to demonstrate the latest developments and promising areas, sign supply deals.
