MOSCOW, 21 July (BelTA) – Draft amendments to the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union, which are designed to regulate online trade, are going through intrastate reconciliation in the EAEU member states, BelTA learned from Iya Malkina, a spokeswoman of the Eurasian Economic Commission, on 21 July.
According to the source, results of the intrastate reconciliation will be discussed by the Eurasian Economic Commission in H2 2021.
The amendments are designed to change online trade administration. The amendments suggest classifying goods, which are bought abroad online, into an independent category, introducing an online trade operator, specifying the procedure and conditions for importing such goods as well as specifying peculiarities of customs declaration and the payment of customs fees for such goods, the official explained.
