Nearly 200,000t of cargo handled by Belarus' logistics operator Beltamozhservice in 2020

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Almost 200,000 tonnes of cargo passed through the terminals of Belarus' logistics operator Beltamozhservice in 2020, BelTA learned from the company.

“In 2020, Beltamozhservice terminals handled 198,000 tonnes of cargo. More than 918,000 declarations were issued last year. As many as 28 container trains with Belarusian products were sent to China,” Beltamozhservice said.

Due to the pandemic, the market for transportation and logistics services operated differently in 2020. Yet, last year Beltamozhservice met its main financial and economic targets, which were set forth in its annual business plan, performing better than in 2019. “The events of 2020 did not make us change our strategy. We continued developing transportation and freight forwarding activities. In 2020, we carried out more than 30,000 transportation operations by all means of transport,” the company noted.

Beltamozhservice acts as an authorized economic operator, customs representative, customs carrier, owner of storage facilities, an exchange broker, a trade representative, importer and exporter of goods. The company's plans for the near future include expansion of its storage infrastructure, mechanization and automation of storage processes, and energy-saving activities.
