MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) - General Director of Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ trademark) Sergei Avramenko outlined the company's prospects for cooperation with China during the visit of Vice Premier of the State Council of China Liu Guozhong to the company on 22 May, BelTA has learned.
The vice premier was welcomed by Belarus' Minister Industry Aleksandr Yefimov, Sergei Avramenko and other key representatives of industrial holdings.
A special exhibition of MTZ's products, alongside other Belarusian manufacturers, was arranged at Minsk Tractor Plant on this occasion.
“Minsk Tractor Plant has a long and successful history of cooperation with the People's Republic of China. Today, Mr. Liu Guozhong has been presented with a wide range of BELARUS machinery, including models produced with Chinese components. We have discussed ways to develop cooperation, including expanding the range of products supplied from China, not only components for machinery production but also equipment and technologies. As part of major investment projects, Belarusian machine-tool enterprises, the Minsk Gear Plant, and other enterprises of our holding are receiving large shipments of Chinese equipment. We are also exploring the possibility of establishing assembly production in China and localizing high-power and tracked machinery,” Sergei Avramenko stressed.
