Mozyr dairy company to use innovative solutions to extend product shelf life

MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Mozyr Dairy Products, a dairy company from Gomel Oblast, will increase the shelf life of its products using innovative technologies. The ultimate goal of the efforts is to enter new remote sales markets. The matter was discussed at the meeting of Chairman of the Belarusian State Committee on Science and Technology Aleksandr Shumilin with the company's team, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian State Committee on Science and Technology.

“The participants of the meeting had a detailed discussion of new products and new markets, as well as the upgrade of the main production. There are plans to renovate the company by 2025. Obsolete equipment will be replaced, the product quality will be improved, the assortment will be significantly expanded, and the shelf life of products will be increased using innovative technologies with a view to entering new remote markets,” the press service said.

Aleksandr Shumilin drew attention to the fact that a state innovative development program for 2021-2025 is currently in the works. He noted that the new program will include the most effective projects to build capacity in the manufacturing industry. According to him, Mozyr Dairy Products can implement an innovative project on in-depth processing of raw milk, including using the latest advancements in the field of synthesis of new lactic acid bacteria.

Aleksandr Shumilin also visited Belaruskabel, one of the CIS best cable companies.

Mozyr Dairy Products specializes in milk processing, production and sale of dairy and sour milk products, cottage cheese desserts, butter, skimmed milk powder. In 2015, the company upgraded the curd section and launched the production of new types of high-quality organic curd products with an increased shelf life. Today, the company utilizes 100% of its production capacity. In January-September 2020, the output in actual prices amounted to Br76 million, up 7%. The company employs over 400 people.
